Split Engineering has developed
a library for texture comparison and classification. Various
states of material can be defined based on the visual appearance.
The current state of the process is compared to these definitions
for a qualitative classification. |

Using Texture Classification
To Determine Agglomeration Quality:
New Split-Online modules are now available to monitor agglomeration
quality, chiefly moisture content through classification of
the various textures of the material. Through training the system
to identify various levels of moisture content in the site specific
material, feedback is now available to indicate if the process
is out of specification.
The current modules provide categorical, relative measures of
agglomeration quality based on an implied moisture content.
Future development includes correlating the image analysis with
actual measured moisture content to output a quantified number
rather than a quality categorization. |
