The core technology that built Split Engineering was rock fragmentation size measurement using image analysis. Our initial software was developed for large base and precious metal mines to measure run of mine rock fragmentation size. These operations possess rock material with a relatively large variation in size and with the presence of fine material. A typical aggregate plant has a tight range in particle size without any fine material, therefore a new sizing module for Split-Online was specifically created to meet the needs of this industry.
